There are lots of reasons as to why people don’t want a portrait made, the biggest one being, “I will after I lose some weight…” but the truth is that if it wasn’t for this there would be another.
As a photographer I see how a good photograph delights and empowers people. In a world of instant photos and selfies we are often captured in less than perfect light, not so good poses and some awful facial expressions so it’s no wonder that our impression of photography isn’t that high. I get it… I’m one of those camera shy people too! So when you book a session with me, you can be sure I’m compassionate about how your are feeling being on the other side of my lens.
What I’ve learned to see as a photographer is the beauty in your heart and soul and in the way you love your family and children – it radiates from within you and is spell binding when you let is shine. Those big flabby arms are full of comfort and joy to the ones you love and they don’t care that you think you should lose 15 pounds, they love you just the way you are! So I ask you, if not now, when? When will you be good enough to be in photographs?
